Building upon the success of ASTP’s annual conference earlier this year in Stockholm, we proudly announce the next annual conference. This will be held in Germany’s largest city and national capital, Berlin from 30 May - 1 June 2012.
Since German reunification, the city has transformed itself and a ‘new’ Berlin has clearly emerged as a global location for knowledge and innovation. With a high density of research institutions, such as the Fraunhofer Society, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Scientific Community and the Max Planck Society, Berlin is a natural choice for the tech transfer community to gather. Our hosting partner this year will be Transfer Allianz / TSB Innovations Agentur Berlin. They cooperate with these various research centres and several universities to maximise the innovative output of the city and region.
In the 13th annual conference programme, you will find well known and popular features such as three parallel tracks, introductory as well as interactive sessions. Our quality key-note speakers, networking and interactive discussions of important topics complete the programme. We do our best to find the right balance of interesting topics for newcomers as well as experienced professionals in tech transfer.
Topics include: the use of social networks for identifying innovation, technology transfer and social responsibility, the impact of a good TTO on the region/society/economy, and many more.
On Wednesday afternoon, 30 May during the walking tour as well as after the conference dinner, you will have an opportunity to explore and experience the city, known as the ‘Athens on the Spree’. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Entscheider aus Kommunen und Versorgungswirtschaft sowie an Stadtplaner, Energiedienstleister und Energie-/Klimaschutzbeauftragte in Städten und Gemeinden. Sie präsentiert erstmals Ergebnisse und Erfahrungen aus den laufenden Pilotprojekten der BMWi-Forschungsinitiativen und diskutiert Herausforderungen und Lösungsansätze für die kommunale Energiewende.
Das Programm sieht einen Mix aus Grundsatzdiskussionen, aktuellen praxisrelevanten Ergebnissen aus den ca. 40 laufenden Forschungsvorhaben und visionären Ausblicken vor. Es umspannt den gesamten Rahmen der beiden Forschungsinitiativen: Von gebäudebezogenen Schwerpunkten und damit verbundener Nutzerakzeptanz, über dezentrale Versorgungslösungen und den spezifischen Problemen der sich dynamisch wandelnden Verteilnetze im Wärme- und Strombereich, bis hin zu zentralen Versorgungsstrategien.

Im Rahmen der zweitägigen Konferenz wird den Teilnehmern ein umfassender Einblick in best practice-Lösungen für jeden Aspekt des professionellen IP Managements gegeben. Die Veranstaltungsformen reichen von den Vorträgen der Hauptredner über interessante Workshops und individuelle round-table-Diskussionen bis hin zu speziell zugeschnittenen Demo-Foren. Inhaltlich ausgefüllt werden die einzelnen Veranstaltungen durch Beiträge führender IP Experten.
Die IP Service World ist ein Muss für alle Berufstätigen und Entscheidungsträger aus der IP-Branche. Hier werden neue Erkenntnisse ausgetauscht, diskutiert und gesammelt hinsichtlich der Frage, wie das IP Management möglichst effizient und dabei kostensenkend organisiert werden kann, ohne dass die IP Produktion geringer wird. Neu ist dieses Jahr auch die Unterteilung der inhaltlichen Bereiche der Konferenz durch sechs verschiedene Farben. Dies soll für eine klare und einfache Orientierung sorgen. Die Gründerwoche Deutschland findet im Rahmen der Global Entrepreneurship Week 2011 statt. Allein im letzten Jahr haben sich an diesem weltweiten Event rund 10 Millionen Menschen aus 100 Ländern an 40.000 Veranstaltungen beteiligt. Auch in diesem Jahr können wieder Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene, die sich für die Gründung eines Start-ups interessieren, vom 14.-20. November 2011 spannende Angebote nutzen – ob Ideenworkshops, Chats, Beratungsangebote oder Events zum gegenseitigen Kennenlernen.
Aber nicht nur das: Wer einfach nur wissen will, wie Unternehmerinnen und Unternehmern so „ticken“, kann hier jede Menge Kontakte knüpfen.
Das start up – Kompetenzzentrum der HTW lädt am 15.11.2011 im Rahmen der Gründerwoche Deutschland zu einen Gründernachmittag mit einem vielfältigen Vortrags- und Beratungsprogramm zum Thema Gründung und Finanzierung ein. Zeit zum Erfahrungsaustausch und Netzwerken mit den Referenten und Gastgebern gibt es im Anschluss.
Dr. Dirk Dantz, Geschäftsführer der ipal GmbH, wird den ersten Vortrag des Tages mit dem Titel "Innovationen, Patente und Lizenzen" halten. Darin werden u.a. Fragen zu Softewarepatenten, Förderprogrammen, der Beratung sowie der Recherche in Bezug auf innovative Ideen behandelt.
